The 4x16 10/100/1000 In-Line Physical Layer Switch increases network visibility and reduces the total cost of managing your network. Greater network visibility reduces downtime, increases enterprise productivity, and facilitates remote management, while the ability to share and distribute network tools leverages your current investment in network tools and saves money on new equipment costs and recurring licensing fees.
Switch your troubleshooting tools where you need them when you them or simply leave monitoring tools connected permanently for 24x7 coverage of your critical links.
Each 4X16SY-BT has sixteen built-in ethernet taps and four monitoring connections, allowing you to share your network tools across sixteen in-line network segments. Daisy-chain eight units together to cover 128 network segments with four tools.
Each port can be individually set to operate in 10/100 passive mode or at 1000Mb line rate with LINKprotect™ to ensure zero packet loss and link uptime even if power is lost to the switch.
- Leverage four (4) network applicances across 16 in-line segments
- Daisy-chain eight (8) units to access up to 128 links
- Taps won’t break the link even if power is lost to the device - each port can be set independently at 10 or 100Mb passive mode or at 1000Mb with LINKprotect™
- Easy to manage remotely or through serial port with our MANAgents™ switch control software
- Hot swappable dual redundant load balanced power supplies (AC or DC)
- Hot swappable management card for security upgrade
